Brenda: "Alright! I'll see you tomorrow!"
Christian: "Hey there, been a while. Where's the goth look, Brenda?"
Brenda: "You've got some fucking nerve showing your face around here. You know this is my uniform while I work here at this hotel."
Christian: "Still mad about that?"
Brenda: "You cheated on my coworker! Of course I'm gonna be mad!"
Brenda: "What are you even doing here anyway? I thought you didn't go to high end hotels to sleep around anymore."
Christian: "I heard you had a ghost here so I wanted to check it out."
Brenda: "Yeah, we've definitely got a ghost. Isn't this usually your brother and that kid's job though?"
Christian: "Just because they do it a lot, doesn't mean I don't do it."
Brenda: "Fine I guess, follow me."
Christian: "Thanks."
Brenda: "This is room 318. Now I'm getting the hell out of here because I don't want any ghosts chasing me."
Christian: *sighs*
Christian: "Grace? Are you here? It's me, Christian."
Jack: "Hey there, Christian! Didn't expect to see you here."
Christian: "Jack!? You're the ghost?"
Jack: "To a bunch of rich adults, of course I am. You think people here believe in me? Of course not! I'm just hanging out here because I'm bored."
Christian: *sigh* "Once again, I can't find her..."
Jack: "Hey man, you wanna talk about it? You drink, right? I think there's some wine in that ice bucket over there."
Christian: "Over a hundred years ago, I was a noble and I met a girl named Grace at one of the parties I threw. She was the first person that I can actually say I fell in love with."
Christian: "We started seeing each other for a while, and I really fell hard for her. When I told her I loved her on a night together, she left in the morning."
Christian: "She didn't know I was a demon, she thought I was a normal human. Grace left a letter saying she was a ghost and didn't want to watch me die of old age while she stayed a ghost."
Christian: *Tearful voice* "Ah fuck, I should've just said I was a demon. Now I just search for her every time I hear there's a ghost but..." *sniff* "I can never find her."
Jack: "That's rough, buddy."
Jack: "Hey, maybe you'll find her again someday! There can't be that many ghosts out there."
Jack: "Right, Christian?"
Christian: *Passed out drunk and crying*
Jack: "Geez, is he that much of a light weight?"
Brenda: "Is the ghost gone? I heard talking."
Christian: *sleeping*
Brenda: "CHRISTIAN? WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK!? Did you do this just for a free room and wine, you asshole!?" *slapping his arm*
Brenda: *swearing*
Jack: "Believes in ghosts but not in me...Guess that's people for you."
-LATER-
Christian: "And so, she left before I could tell her I was a demon." *Drunk crying*
Ellen: "That's a nice sob story but I really don't care. I was in the middle of studying a new spell book when you came here smelling like my original father and crying about some dead girl."
Ellen: "Now, please get out of here."
Christian: "Please, Ellen! Help me find Grace! I don't know what the fuck I'm doing in finding a ghost. I helped you cure your illness so just do this for me, please?"
Ellen: "Hm...I guess finding a ghost would be better than other ideas I had."
Ellen: "Alright, I'll help you. It's not a contract, I'm just helping a friend who helped me out."
Christian: "Hell yeah! Thanks, kiddo!" *shakes her hand*
Ellen: "Just because I'm more powerful since we met, doesn't mean I'll find her with ease. Ghosts are stubborn and unstable after all. Now leave my house, and close the door on your way out." *walks away*
Christian: "Someday, Grace, I'll find you. I really do promise."
-END-
Halloween is around the corner, I thought it'd be fun to hint at a side plot in the future about a certain ghost in Christian's backstory! ^o^
I like how Christian feels like Grace completes him and loves her, while also completely neglecting and abandoning his daughter.
